the Fighting Illini lost at Northwestern, 68-72 in overtime
* Illinois, now at 6-2 overall, returns home tomorrow night for a Big Ten matchup against Maryland

the Tigers fell to favored Robinson, 66-70 in overtime in Ron Herrin Gym at RCHS
* the game included 13 ties and 13 lead changes
* Robinson shot 36 free throws compared to Olney’s 15
* Olney’s freshman Braden Flanagan had his first high school career double figure night with 25 points
* Dakotah Brown scored 19 points and Brent Hatten knocked in 14 points for Olney
* Robinson was led by Chance Black with 21 points and Dylan Smith with 16 points
Olney is now 2-3 on the year, 0-1 in the Little Illini Conference
Robinson is 3-2 overall, now 1-0 in the LIC

the Lady Tigers beat Robinson in Ron Herrin Gym, 37-19 as the Olney varsity improves to 5-1 on the year
* Olney was led by Julie Luna and Logan Kauble, each with 9 points – Brittany Black scored 8 points
Olney also won the junior varsity game over Robinson, 38-17
the Lady Tigers return to action Monday night with an LIC matchup against Red Hill in Bridgeport

the Lady Eagles fell to Paris, 28-63 as the Newton varsity drops to 2-5 on the year
* Newton was led by Abby Frohning with 10 points and 6 rebounds

the Southern Illinois Coaches Association (SICA) recently released its Class 2A All South Teams
* Olney’s Gavin Kirby (FR) and Braden Nicholson (JR) were named to the Boys All South First Team
* Olney’s Tristen Payne (SO) and Danni Murphy (SO) were named to the Girls All South Second Team
* Olney’s Caleb Thomas (JR) and Owen Powell (JR) were named to the Boys All South Second Team
each will be awarded a t-shirt and plaque in March 2018 at the SIU Carbondale Indoor Track & Field Meets

* freshmen Josiah Wallace had 16 points, Tyler Witz had 13 points, and Davion Warren had 12 points
