* the Lady Tigers won the first game, 8-1 as Olney out-hit the host Lady Hearts, 13 to 3 – the top Lady Tiger hitters were Makenzie Sechrest with an two RBI double and two runs scored and Kelsey Shipman with two hits and two runs scored – Olney’s winning pitcher was Elizabeth Walker, throwing all seven innings, allowing one run and striking out seven
* the Lady Tigers won the second game, 11-1 in five innings – Olney’s top hitters were Elizabeth Walker with four hits and three RBI and Makenzie Sechrest with three hits and three RBI – the Lady Tiger’s winning pitcher was Kelsey Shipman, throwing all five innings, allowing only one hit, & striking out one

* the Eagles won the second game, 1-0 as each team had four hits – Newton’s winning pitcher was Elijah Knepper, allowing no runs, walking two, and striking out twelve – the Eagle’s top hitter was A.J. Hyatt with two hits – Newton’s Lucas Massey drew a walk and scored the game’s only run
* now at 1&3 in the Apollo, 5&4 overall, the Eagles will host Carmi today in Newton
(OLNEY) in girls high school soccer – Olney notched up a win at the Kaskaskia College “Shootout” :
* in varsity action, the Lady Tigers beat Breese Central, 4-1
