(OLNEY) Around 130 people were in attendance last night at the 79th Annual Meeting of the Richland County Soil & Water Conservation District at the Best Western Parkside Events Center in Olney. With the various yearly reports made from the Resource Conservationist on the SWCD, the District Conservationist on the NRCS, and from the Farm Service Agency, the SWCD membership re-elected three District Directors to serve two year terms through March 2026, including Marti Kocher, Tony Kuenstler, and Heath Clodfelter. Attendees also recognized the Olney FFA Agronomy team of Brett Kocher, Colleen Steber, Trenton Payne, and Victoria Rudolphi for winning Richland County’s first ever National FFA competition. Along with the great meal by Barney Ochs, guest speaker Cyndi Young, farm broadcaster with the Brownfield Network, was very entertaining. Thanks to all for their patronage.
