(SPRINGFIELD) Beginning in late December, the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) will conduct the 2024 Commercial Floriculture Survey with approximately 263 producers throughout Illinois. Growers will be asked to provide information on 2023 production area, sales of floriculture commodities, and the number of agricultural workers on their operations. Growers can complete the survey online at agcounts.usda.gov, or by mail or phone. All information gathered will remain confidential, as required by federal law. The NASS will publish the survey data by mid-May next year, in 2024.
