(NEWTON) in Girls High School Basketball last night –
Newton swept two games at home against Neoga
- The Lady Eagles won the varsity game, 53-43
Led by Camryn Martin with a double/double – 18 points and 11 rebounds.
Elley Bennett and Lilly Kessler each added 9 points.
Newton’s varsity squad is now 7-5 on the year.
- Newton also won the junior varsity game, 34-11
The Lady Eagles will be the road at Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Thursday night.
(OLNEY) Elsewhere in Girls High School Basketball last night, there were two other LIC teams in non-conference action.
- Mt. Carmel beat Carmi, 46-32
- Teutopolis beat Paris, 37-33
