(OLNEY) There’s a winner every weekend at the Olney VFW with its next Queen of Hearts drawing, all open to the public, at 4:00 this Sunday afternoon. Following a $20 winner this past weekend, the top jackpot now sits at $2,220 if the winner is present, or half that amount if not present, plus smaller possible card winners as well. (STE. MARIE) The annual St. Mary’s Brunch is this coming Sunday morning at the Parish Center in Ste. Marie with serving from 8:00 until 12:00 noon. The great menu includes ham and sausage links, scrambled eggs, biscuits & sausage gravy, breads, fruit, juice, milk, and coffee. Tickets at the door will be $10.00 for adults, $5.00 for children ages 4 to 10, and free to children ages 3 and under. Also a Bake Sale sponsored by the Parish Youth Group. All are invited this Sunday for the Annual Brunch at St. Mary’s Parish Center in Ste. Marie.

(OLNEY) The Full Armor Christian Academy in Olney will have its 2nd Annual “Raising Warriors Gala” this Saturday evening at the Olney Parkside Events Center, starting at 6:00. The $50 donation per ticket includes a meal, live entertainment, live and silent auctions, and more, with all proceeds to benefit the school. For tickets and more, call 618-392-0300.

(WYNOOSE) The Forrest Ridge Church near Noble will have its “Feed the Farmer” breakfast this Saturday morning at the Wynoose Community Building with serving from 8:00 to 9:15. All local farmers and their families are invited out for a great meal with a short devotion by Brother Jim Anderson to follow. It’s all being held in appreciation of all the local farmers and their families with the 2024 spring planting season soon to start just around the corner.

(SAILOR SPRINGS) The Clay City/Sailor Springs American Legion Post 230 has another first Saturday of the month breakfast this weekend with serving from 7:00 to 10:00 with all-you-can-eat biscuits, gravy, sausage, and drinks for a donation at the door. All the proceeds this month, less expenses, will be donated to the Clay City Boy Scout Troop, which is sponsored by Legion Post 230, all to help the scouts with shirts, hats, supplies, and trips. All invited.

(OLNEY) The Olney Knights of Columbus will have another Friday night “Fish Fry” this weekend at the Olney City Park Community Building, with serving from 5:00 to 7:00, or until sold out. Open to the public, tickets at the door will be $12.00 per adult and $8.00 for children ages 12 and under. Either dine in or carry out at the Olney City Park Community Building. This week’s proceeds will go to benefit Richland County HOPE.

(NEWTON) It’s another Queen of Hearts drawing this Friday night at 6:00 at the American Legion Post 20 in Newton with tickets on sale up until draw time and a jackpot at $23,330. The Queen’s Menu this week is catfish or shrimp with sides for $12.00 per person, serving at 4:30, plus entertainment with the Silver Creek Band starting at 6:30. (OLNEY) The Claremont-Bonpas Fire Department and Village of Claremont will continue their Friday “Fish Frys” this weekend, with all meals served at the Firehouse in Claremont. The lunchtime serving is from 11:30 to 2:00 at $10.00 per adult and either dine in or carry out. Then it’s a dinner buffet in the evening with serving from 4:00 to 7:00, priced at $15.00 per adult, $10.00 for children ages 6 to 12, and free for children age 5 and under. Plus a 50/50 drawing. All proceeds to support the Fire Department and Claremont Village Park project.

(OLNEY) Giving Hope Olney, located at 600 South Camp Avenue, will this morning have strawberries available to give away to anyone. Donations are accepted, but not required. That’s from 10:00 to 12:00 noon this morning at 600 South Camp Avenue in Olney.
