(OLNEY) In Junior High Softball yesterday –
- Olney St. Joe won their season opening game by beating Iuka, 11-3
The Lady Cats and host Lady Pirates each had one hit apiece
- Einning pitcher – Leah Kuenstler struck out 10 in the 5 inning game
- Top hitter – Nora McClain had St. Joe’s only hit, a 2 RBI double, plus 3 runs scored
- McClain, along with Kadence Kocher & Piper Mann, each had two base-on-balls
The 1-0 Lady Wildcats return to action Friday traveling to West Salem.
(NEWTON) In Junior High Softball yesterday –
- Newton/Jasper County lost to Lawrenceville Parkview, 9-7
T he hits were even with 9 for each team
- Top hitters – Kraegan Groves doubled & singled with 4 RBI
- Jossie Stanley had 2 doubles, 2 RBI, and 2 runs scored
- Mabry Wolf and Khloee Copper each had 2 hits as well
The Junior Lady Eagles are back in action tomorrow with Casey.
