“WHAT’S HAPPENING”THIS WEEKEND

(GREENUP) The Cumberland County Fair is wrapping up in Greenup. The main feature tonight is the Flat Drags, with the Junior Livestock Show tomorrow morning, and the Demo Derby tomorrow night, plus all the carnival rides, fair food, livestock shows, and more.

(WINDSOR) The 127th Annual Harvest Picnic continues in Windsor. It’s fish dinners and homemade desserts served at 5:00 this evening with music by The Lovin’ Spoonful at 7:15. Then it’s the FFA breakfast tomorrow morning from 6:00 to 10:00, a harvest 5K run & fun walk at 7:30, pedal tractor pull at 10:00, the big parade at 3:00, pork chop dinners & desserts served at 4:30, the Bellamy Brothers in concert at 7:00, and the huge raffle drawing at 9:00. All concerts are free, bring your lawn chairs, with inflatables and much more in Windsor.

(OLNEY) The White Squirrel Cruisers will have its 37th Annual Olney Car and Motorcycle Show this coming Saturday in the Olney City Park, with vehicle registration from 9:00 to 11:00 that morning and the entry fee at $20 each. With the awards presented at 2:00 that afternoon, there will be dash plaques to the first 150 entries, plus various awards for the top ten in four different categories, along with six special awards presented as well. Also food vendors, music, and more. That’s all in the Olney City Park this Saturday. All are invited.

(NOBLE/OLNEY) The 7th Annual Richland County Farm Bureau “Tractor Drive” is set for tomorrow morning, this year traveling through the northwestern corner of Richland County. It all begins with registration and breakfast at 8:00 in the morning at the Lions Club Building in Noble, then after a group picture, the drive will leave at around 9:00. There is a $20 donation per tractor, all to benefit the local Ag in

the Classroom program. All tractors and drivers are welcome. Call the Richland County Farm Bureau Office in Olney at 618-393-4116 during regular hours to pre-register or to get more details about the drive.

(OLNEY) It’s another “Cruise-In” coming up this Friday night, from 6:00 to 9:00, at the Olney City Park. There will be food available from “The Smokin’ Pig” and a bake sale by Rescare, plus live entertainment by Guy Ash. All are invited to the “Cruise-In” Friday night.

(NEWTON) There is no Queen of Hearts drawing tonight at the American Legion Post 20 in Newton, however there’s plenty of specials on tap there at 108 East Jourdan Street. Get a cheeseburger for $10 or a cod fish sandwich for $8, each with one side, plus $2 beer and $3 mixed drinks, with serving to start at 5:00. The next Queen of Hearts drawing will be a week from tonight during the Smoke Off BBQ Competition at the Fairgrounds in Newton.

(OLNEY) The Richland County Farmer’s Market is today from 10:00 to 2:00 under the pole barns in the Olney City Park. Expect farm fresh produce and more on sale for the public.
