USDA ACCEPTING OFFERS FOR OVER 2.2 MILLION ACRES

(SPRINGFIELD) The USDA is still accepting offers for more than 2.2 million acres from farmers and private landowners through this year’s Grassland, General, and Continuous Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) signups, administered by the Farm Service Agency (FSA). With the enrollment process opened up back in January of this year, the current acreage enrolled is nearing the 27 million CRP acreage cap. Farmers can still make an offer through the Continuous CRP signup, which is ongoing, by contacting their local FSA Office.
