The Richland County School District is preparing for the upcoming school year with online registration now open for students returning for the 2026-27 school year.
Families can complete registration through Skyward Family Access from July 13 through July 20. Parents are reminded that the Skyward system will be temporarily unavailable due to a required upgrade from 6 p.m. Friday, July 17, through 6 p.m. Sunday, July 19.
For families who need assistance completing registration, school staff will be available at their child’s school on Thursday, July 16, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
School officials are also reminding families that updated health records are required for certain students. Physical examinations and immunizations must be completed for students entering Pre-K, kindergarten, sixth grade, and ninth grade, as well as all students who are new to the district.
Required health forms and immunization records must be submitted by Aug. 10. Parents who have not completed required appointments by that date must provide proof that an appointment has been scheduled.
Families planning transportation changes for the upcoming school year must submit those requests by July 27 in order for changes to take effect on the first day of school.
The first day of classes for Richland County students is scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 12.
Parents are encouraged to complete registration as early as possible and make sure all required documents are submitted before the start of the school year.
