(SALEM) The National Weather Service in St. Louis has confirmed an EF1 tornado with a top wind speed of at least 90 miles-per-hour in a severe weather system that move through portions of Marion and Fayette Counties early this past Sunday night at around 5:30. The “short track” twister only touched down for an estimated tenth of a mile with a width of only 25 yards. Although there was damage to a machine shed in the very northwestern corner of Marion County. There were no injuries, but other damage to trees & utility poles.
