(SPRINGFIELD) There’s mixed numbers in farm equipment sales for 2023. The Association of Equipment Manufacturers reports sales of 100-plus-horsepower tractors increased 5.7% during the first 10 months of this year compared to 2022, which was led by sales of four-wheel-drive tractors, jumping 36% during the 10 months. Combine sales also increased this year through October by 4.5% compared to a year ago. However, total farm tractor sales for the year are down 8.6% due to a drop-off in purchases of smaller horsepower machines.
