(OLNEY) The Richland County Homemakers Education Association will sponsor a free workshop focusing on food preservation, to be held Tuesday evening, April 9th, starting at 5:30, at the Extension Meeting Room in Olney. Popular presenter, Mary Liz Wright, a U of I Extension Nutrition & Wellness Educator, will be discussing various methods of preserving food, especially the canning process of fruits & vegetables, along with chowder, pie filling, and more. While not required, it’s registration at 5:00, and it’s all open to the public.
