Newton finished third behind Robinson and host Shelbyville, 104 to 113 to 113
Teutopolis was fourth (77.5) followed by Williamsville (76) and Pleasant Plains (71.5), then Monticello (41.5), Pana (31), Central A&M (28) and Brownstown (27), the other teams were Vandalia (8), Altamont (7.5), and Stewardson-Strasburg (3). Newton had 15 top five finishes in 13 different events.
