FRIDAY

  • Newton lost in LIC action to Mt. Carmel, 12-10

The Lady Eagles were outhit by the host Lady Aces, 16 to 14

  • At the plate – Lilly Kessler had a double,2 other hits, a walk, and 2 runs scored
    • Audrie Reich had a home run and a double with an RBI and run scored
    • Plus home runs by Allie Stanley, Sally Mahaffey, and Allie Hermann

SATURDAY @ THE UNITY ROUND ROBIN

  • Newton beat Decatur St. Teresa, 17-0 but then lost to Unity, 5-0

The Lady Eagles outhit their opponents on the day, 19 to 12

  • Winning pitcher – Amelia Collins
  • At the plate – Salla Mahaffey and Lexie Grove each had 4 hits and 3 RBI
    • Allie Hermann and Lilly Kessler each had 3 hits
    • Bailee Frichtl and Audrie Reich each had 2 hits

Tolono Unity beat Decatur St. Teresa in the other game, 10-0.

The (22-6/4-1) Lady Eagles are scheduled to play at Casey-Westfield today.
