(NEWTON) In high school volleyball action last night, the Newton Lady Eagles secured two victories against Charleston on the road:
- Varsity Match: Newton won in two games (25-18, 25-19).
- Key players included Sally Mahaffey, Allie Hermann, Camryn Martin, and Allie Stanley.
- Junior Varsity Match: Newton triumphed in three games.
The Lady Eagles are set to host Casey-Westfield tomorrow night.
(OLNEY) Meanwhile, the Olney Lady Tigers faced a tough night at home, dropping three matches to Salem:
- Varsity Match: Olney lost in three games (12-25, 27-25, 18-25).
- Leading players were Taylor Bloomer, Jillian Bettis, Kaitlyn Dowty, and Naleigha Harrison.
- Salem also won both the junior varsity and freshmen matches, each in two games.
Olney will host Mattoon next Tuesday night at RCHS.
