(OLNEY) The Illinois Eastern Community College District and its Board of Trustees recently made three major leadership appointments, soon to assume their new duties :
- Beginning next Monday, May 12th, Paul Tait will assume his new duties as the next Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the IECC District 529. Tait will succeed Alex Cline, who is retiring after nearly three decades of service to the IECC. Mr. Tait will bring his 28 years of dedicated service to District 529, plus his knowledge of the IECC systems and mission.
- Starting a week later, on Monday, May 19th, Dr. Cathy Stennett Robb will assume her new duties as the next Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, overseeing the IECC District’s curriculum development, accreditation, and assessment for all four IECC colleges.
- and assuming her new duties on July 1st, 2025, Dr. Sharmila Kakac becomes the IECC’s new President at Frontier Community College in Fairfield, plus she’ll also serve as the District’s Vice Chancellor for Business and Industry. Following the retirement of long-time FCC President Dr. Gerald “Jay” Edgren, Dr. Kakac, a Fairfield resident and familiar face in the area, she brings both community connection and institutional experience to the position. Congratulations to all three in their new duties within the IECC District #529.
