  • Olney lost a tough one run game at home to Edwards County, 6-5

Although the Tigers outhit the visiting Lions, 10 to 6

  • Colby Redman led Olney at the plate with 3 hits, 1 RBI, and 1 run scored
  • Ian Winkler had 2 hits and Nolen Seals doubled
  • Jacob Beard and Owen Cycholl each had an RBI hit
  • On Saturday, Olney lost to Terre Haute South, 10-0

(NEWTON) In High School Varsity Baseball from the weekend –

  • Newton dropped two games, losing Friday to West Vigo, Indiana, 14-3
  • The Eagles lost on the road Saturday out at O’Fallon, 12-1
  • Isaac Flowers had a hit in each game, including a 3 run home run
  • David Ferguson had a hit in each game with a run scored
  • Other Newton hits by Payton Harris, Dylan Gier, and Drake Wolf

The 7-9 Eagles are scheduled to host Dieterich tomorrow.
