In August, the Illinois State Police Troop 9 conducted Nighttime Enforcement (NITE) patrols in Richland and Marion Counties, focusing on impaired driving and occupant restraint violations.
During these overnight operations, held from 9 PM to 6 AM, officers issued a total of 29 written warnings and made 17 citations or arrests. The breakdown of offenses included:
- 3 registration violations
- 3 driver’s license offenses
- 2 DUI arrests
- 2 insurance violations
- 1 additional alcohol or drug-related citation
