(NEWTON/OLNEY) Local, area, and statewide law enforcement personnel are still out in extra force, looking for those driving impaired or those disobeying the rules of the road. Led by the Illinois State Police, Troopers and Officers continue to conduct various roadside safety checks, saturation patrols, and more, specifically trying to identify those who are speeding, texting while driving, not using their seatbelts, and those driving impaired, either by drugs and/or alcohol. The extra patrols continue through tomorrow morning.
