(NOBLE) The Noble Village Board met last night for less than a half hour in regular session. The Board : approved the payment of all bills as presented : indicated it may be discussing the implementation of a local grocery tax in the future to help replace revenue that was eliminated when the Governor cancelled the state’s 1% grocery tax this year : noted the Village’s new Tornado Siren will again be tested in Noble this morning at 10:00 : noted the Noble Villagewide “garage sales” will be this coming Saturday, August 17th followed by the Village’s Cleanup Day set for Wednesday, August 21st, a week from tomorrow : approved the proclamation that next Wednesday, August 21st, should be recognized as Richland County Fair Board Day throughout all of Richland County and in Noble : and said a huge “thanks” to the Olney Central College Blue Knights Baseball team and coaches for helping Saturday in cleaning the Village Park of trash and putting away the tables and chairs from the Noble Chowder : the next regular meeting for the Noble Village Board will be August 26th, 2024.
