OLNEY TIGERS TRIUMPH IN FIVE-TEAM GOLF MATCH AT RICHLAND GOLF CLUB

In Boys High School Golf action yesterday, the Olney Tigers emerged victorious in a competitive five-team match held at the Richland Golf Club. Olney secured the top spot, narrowly defeating second-place Mt. Carmel by four strokes, with a final team score of 159 to Mt. Carmel’s 163.

Lawrenceville/Red Hill finished in third place with a score of 167, followed by Edwards County at 171 and Oblong at 173.

The Tigers were led by standout performances from their top golfers. Ayden Nealis finished in second place with an impressive round of 36, just one stroke behind the Match Medalist, Zane Wilcox of Mt. Carmel, who shot a 35. Olney’s Reese Glover tied for third place with Mason Smiley of Edwards County, each carding a 37. Mt. Carmel’s Kollin Kelsey rounded out the top five with a score of 38.

Additional strong performances from the Tigers included Carsyn Ameter and Carter Blank, who both tied for 10th place with rounds of 43. Other Olney golfers competing were Brody Thomas, Brody Roche, and Levi Hefferman.

The Tigers will look to build on this victory as they prepare to host the Olney Invitational at the Richland Golf Club tomorrow
