(OLNEY) Congratulations to some local Olney VFW members who are also representing Richland County on the state level as announced earlier this year :
- Nancy J. O’Connell has been appointed State VFW Chief of Staff to Maurice Bridges, the Commander of the Department of Illinois VFW, for the 2024-2025 service year
- Ryan Higginbotham has again been elected to the position of State Surgeon for the VFW Department of Illinois for the 2024-2025 service year
- Cindy Gaston Watters has been elected at the 2024-2025 VFW Auxiliary President for the Department of Illinois, plus her husband, John, well serve as her Chief of Staff this year.
