ST. LOUIS CARDINALS WIN MONDAY NIGHT AGAINST PADRES

The St. Louis Cardinals opened their home series against San Diego with a 3-0 victory over the Padres on Monday night at Busch Stadium. The series finale is Wednesday afternoon at 1:15 before the Cardinals travel to Kansas City for a four-game weekend series against the Royals beginning Thursday night.
