(SPRINGFIELD) The USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service surveyed farmers in March and published an estimate of 780,000 acres of wheat planted in Illinois last fall. Beginning next month, continuing through mid-August, the NASS will publish a series of monthly crop reports that forecast the average wheat yield per acre in Illinois as producers will receive questionnaires in the mail late in April. Results will be published on May 10th.
