WEDNESDAY WEATHER DISCUSSION (04/02/2025)

(OLNEY/NEWTON) A significant severe weather event will unfold later today with strong winds, heavy rain, possible hail, and more. While the highest probability for tornadoes is along and southeast of a line from Taylorville to Champaign, showers and thunderstorms are likely south of the I-70 corridor by mid-to-late afternoon and then later tonight. With multiple rounds of rain and storms in the forecast for the rest of the week, a Flood Watch has been posted for all of our listening area tonight all the way through Sunday, plus a Wind Advisory is in effect for the same area today through tonight. Stay connected to the National Weather Service via its website, from either Lincoln or Paducah, at weather.gov.
