(NEWTON/OLNEY) Due to today’s (12/18/2023) very strong northwesterly winds throughout our downstate area, there have been and are some power outages. While Ameren Illinois had a power outage earlier today in a portion of eastern Clay County, which has since been repaired and all those affected are back with power, Norris Electric had a couple of outages in Cumberland County, which also have now been restored to service. A couple of outages for Norris Electric remain in southern and southwestern portions of Jasper County as crews are currently working on those.
