(OLNEY) In High School Varsity Baseball yesterday –

  • Olney won on the road at Newton, 7-3

The Tigers outhit the host Eagles, 9 to 5

  • Winning pitcher – Ian Winkler in relief with 4 strikeouts in 3 innings of work
  • At the plate – Rylan Hancock homerd and singled with 3 RBI and 1 run scored
  • Colby Redman also homered and singled with 2 RBI and 1 run scored
  • Nolen Seals was on base three times with 3 hits and 2 stolen bases
  • Other Olney hits by Jacob Beard and Rolen Wilson
  • Ian Winkler walked twice and scored twice

The (8-9/1-2) Tigers are scheduled to host Mt. Carmel on Thursday

  • Newton lost to Olney, 7-3

The Eagles were outhit by the visiting Tigers, 9 to 5

  • At the plate – Gus Bierman had Newton’s only RBI hit
  • Max Meinhart had a hit and 2 runs scored
  • Payton Harris singled and scored
  • Other hits by Isaac Flowers and Kohlton Barthelemy
