(OLNEY) In High School Varsity Softball yesterday –

  • Olney defeated Paris at RCHS, 11-5

Lady Tigers outhit the visiting Lady Tigers from Edgar County, 13 to 7

  • winning pitcher – Taylor Bloomer, striking out 6 in the complete 7 inning win
  • at the plate – Kaiya Seessengood had 4 singles with 3 RBI and 2 runs scored
    • Bailey Rennier doubled and singled with 2 RBI and 2 runs scored
    • Miranda Dowty had 2 hits with 1 RBI and 3 runs scored
    • Bella Trupiano had a 2 RBI double and Kennedy Knox had a 2 RBI single

The (12-9/3-3) Lady Tigers are scheduled to play at Salem today.

(NEWTON) In High School Varsity Softball yesterday –

  • Newton shutout Casey-Westfield, 9-0

The Lady Eagles out-slugged the host Lady Warriors, 10 to 5

  • Winning pitcher – Amelia Collins, striking out 4 in the 7 inning victory
  • At the plate – Lexie Grove doubled with 2 singles and 1 RBI
    • Allie Stanley had 2 hits and 2 runs scored
    • Sally Mahaffey and Averie Mulvey each had an RBI hit

The (22-7/6-1) Lady Eagles are scheduled to host Shelbyville today
