(INA) In Boys Junior High Basketball last night –
At the SIJHSAA Class S State Tournament down at Rend Lake College in the Semi-Final matchups,
- Central City beat St. Mary’s/Alton, 44-39
- OLMH/Herrin beat St. Peter & Paul/Collinsville, 44-41
The Class S Finals will be tomorrow, back at Rend Lake College, The Class L Tournament begins with Quarter-Final action tomorrow.
The Class M State Tournament ends with the Finals tonight at Rend Lake College.

(NEWTON) In Boys Junior High Basketball last night –
The IESA 7th Grade State Tournaments finished up.
Here’s a couple of results involving area downstate teams.
CLASS 1A :
- Sigel St. Michael’s lost to Augusta Southeastern in the third place game, 49-34
- The Sharpshooters end the year at 23-4
CLASS 2A :
- St. Anthony won the State Championship in double overtime beating Oglesby, 28-25
- The Bullpups end the year as State Champs with a record of 27-2
The four 8th Grade IESA State Tournaments begin tomorrow.
