OLNEY CITY COUNCIL MEETING LAST NIGHT (01/09/2024)

(OLNEY) The Olney City Council met in regular session last night. The Council : approved the payment of all bills as presented : approved the $67,000 quote for pump repair work at the Park Lift Station : approved the $5,800 bid from Steve Hemrich to demolish the house at 207 North Saratoga Street : accepted the quote to purchase sodium hydroxide for the City’s Wastewater Treatment Plant : followed the recommendation of the City’s Plan Commission and approved the Final Plat of the new Northfield Subdivision : approved an ordinance to close the north/south alley between St. John Street & West Butler Street and between North Woodlawn Street & North West Street : agreed to establish a stop sign on Clem Street for Cottage Hill Road / Linn Street : approved one raffle license as requested and appointed Derek Mason to the Library Board : increased the Residential Development Assistance Program incentive from $7,000 to $10,000 : and agreed to amend the City Budget to include funds for work along East Fork Trails : there was no action taken after an executive session discussing real property and personnel : and noted the next meeting on January 22nd will start at 4:00 in the afternoon and will include “work session” for the 2024 fiscal year budget.
